Fixed it by re-reading the mkvtoolnix readme. it says that one has to link to /usr/local/bin. in terminal: sudo ln -s /Applications/Mkvtoolnix.app/Contents/MacOS/mkv* /usr/local/bin/ did the trick.

Hi Paul, it seems like you don't have mkvmerge installed. You can download my pre-compiled version here however you may get errors. Place it in /usr/local/bin and be sure to chmod it to 755.

I have installed Aften libdca and MKVToolnix on my mac with snow leopard, no problem so far.
However when us /path-of/mkvdts2ac3 -n /path-of/movie.mkv i only get: "ERROR: The program 'mkvmerge' is not in the path. Is mkvmerge installed?"

I have used mkvtoolnix before to remove subtitles and unwanted audiostreams which worked like a charm

What could be wrong? i have absolutely no idea.

Did everything. Racked my brains figuring out what to type and where to type it (certainly not a user-friendly guide if you don't know how to use a terminal or figure out that you need to type sudo sometimes to make things happen). When I try to use the script (which was a whole other brain-cruncher to figure out how to download it and I'm still not sure if I got the right one) I keep getting "Permission denied". I know I've done something wrong but I have no idea what that might be and how I might go about fixing it. Thank you.
